It is my sad duty to inform you all that we will have to shut down the ECCC Blogosphere. I know that over the past few months we have been growing a wonderful community here that has allowed people to see what happens during races, training and other ECCC hilarity. It's also been great to see people use their blogs as a forum on which to exchange ideas about where the conference should be heading and what kind of policies it should have.
However, due to several complaints by riders feeling insulted and the ECCC conference director deeming several blogs as "below all levels of common decency," we need to close up shop.
As a result of these developments we are also asking all ECCC Bloggers to remove any links, or logos they may have that link to the ECCC general website or the ECCC Blogosphere.
The blogosphere will officially shut down at 11:59PM, today April 1st, 2009.

ReplyDeleteMarie was fooled, and she thought it was because our blog was too offensive. She thought we killed the ECCC blogosphere single-handedly.

ReplyDeleteWhat I learned today:
ReplyDeleteCollegiate cyclists are incredibly gullible...
You got me. Except everyone else's blog is reasonably decent so I couldn't figure out who else you were talking about.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, MHC will continue to lower the bar of decency throughout the season. Our team is about to graduate, so we've got nothing holding us back! (Let's be honest: that's really just an excuse).
PS THAT WAS FORESHADOWING!
Definitely almost cried.
ReplyDeletebetter fooled by Gmail's autopilot feature for about 6 hours... this fooled me for about 12 seconds
